The Lou Goodman Special Operations Combat Knife was a collaboration with master knifemaker and veteran SOF soldier Lou Goodman. Lou drew from his extensive combat experience to design a tool that he could trust his life with. This full tang knife is 10 5/8″ long with a 5.655” blade and is made with Carpenter PD1 steel. Carpenter Technologies designed this alloy to be hardenable and maintain toughness. Abraham & Moses Survival Equipment was able to expound on these attributes by differentially heat treating the blade and tempering it 6 times. This creates an edge that is sharp and a backbone that will hold up to hard use. The blade is then finished with G10 Handles and a hi-tech Nano Composite Coating to prevent wear and rust. Finally, each knife is shipped with a 7075 aluminum sheath which is configurable for multiple attachment methods and has active retainment built in.
